This project involved creating a series of

cohesive packaging design for a product that would fit within a rectangular box.

Selecting sunscreen as my product of choice, I wanted my designs to encourage a young target audience to take action and protect their skin.

The key objective of this project design was to be contemporary yet sophisticated to reflect the brand values of ‘Sunkiss’ as a trusted and youthful skin care company.

The main reason for getting sunburnt even once you have applied sunscreen is because of the lack of re-applying the sunscreen every few hours.

The repetitive pattern within the

graphics reinforces this idea as a reminder to continue to re-apply sunscreen

in order to protect your skin.

The intricate, thin line work also nods back to the epidermis as it acts as a barrier that protects the body from UV radiation.

The colours selected a muted and calm as the packs are intended to sit cohesively with other beauty products at home.

Accompanying the box and sunscreen tubes is a small card that will give important advice on taking care of your skin.

It showcases the patterns in a different format to appear more like an artwork to encourage the audience to keep the card and place it somewhere to remind them to apply sunscreen as part of their

daily routine.
