This brief called for a tourist publication design in the midst of Covid-19.
The purpose of this publication was to create a booklet that is compact and ‘travel sized’ for the audience to take with them while they travel to the destinations listed.
It has a contemporary and timeless style in order to shine a spotlight on the important information in the booklet; the destinations.
This guide highlights the unique aspects of each place through themes and colours.
Playing with type, heirachy was created to list each destination and create a base for the publication.
There is an organic yet structured theme through the pairing of type, colour and photography.
This makes the booklet clear to navigate and guide the reader to each new destination.
The communication aim of the publication is to guide students to outdoor areas that are great for a day getaway.
The photographs are appealing as it shows the natural beauty of each place and
invites an escape from the busy study life.
These students may not have much time but love to go out and explore new places without travelling too far. Each destination is under a 2 hour drive from Melbourne, making it accessible to them.
